COSTA-RICA
In the region of San Ignacio de Acosta, there are many villages whose name begins with "San" which means "SAINT" in French. Even the capital "San José" begins with this word. That's why it became the name of this delicious coffee.
The area of San Ignacio de Acosta is renowned for producing high quality coffees. In the mid-19th century, the inhabitants of the Central Valley migrated to the south of the country, now known as Los Santos. There are 220 km2 of land cultivated by farms with an average area of 2.5 hectares.
The climate in Los Santos is very special, with a period of 7 months of rain (May to November) and 5 months of dry season (December to April).
The flowering period extends from November to March. Harvest and drying take place during the dry season.
